"Culture is Couture!" is a major stage production featured through a national corporation with both profit and non-profit incentives. 

We encourage all to participate but there are some requirements and responsibities! 

Below are some commonly asked questions as well as answers to questions that you may have. If you do not see a question or answer that you are looking for, contact us through our site and we will do our best to assist you! Thank you!

What do I have to pay to be in the Show?

There is NO $$$ cost to perform in CIC! If you consider your time and your presence a price, then that will be the cost to perform. There are rehearsal requirements and ticket sales requirements as with all MAJOR productions. These requirements and details are discussed at auditions and rehearsals!

Do I have to be a certain height, weight, etc...?

 

If you'd like...but as long as you can move your body to the choreographed routines without falling off stage or running out of breath--we WELCOME you to participate. 

Can I perform if I live out of Houston, TX?
 

We do not recommend being in this show if you do not live in the Houston, TX area. Having reliable  transportation is very important because we rehearse every other Saturday for at least 2 hours up until the week of the show. The production is too big to miss rehearsals and would prohibit you from going on stage!

How long are the rehearsals and do I have to attend all of them?

We rehearse for 3 months in the year, every other Saturday, for 2-3 hours each rehearsal. The locations vary but oftentimes are at 9900 Westpark St. YES! You do have to take off from work in order to make each rehearsal if you have a weekend job. As we get closer to the show, we rehearse more often, sometimes on Friday and Sunday nights. Every performer is expected to be at all rehearsals!

What do I, as a performer, get out of participating?

I'm glad you asked! :) 

First of all, I hope that you are getting out of it whatever made you decide to do it. BUT if that is not enough, you are going to get these things:
